Ken Cunningham

South Texas has produced many famous singer/songwriters and Ken Cunningham is on his way to becoming one of the best. Ken's latest CD - Country From The Heart realizes a long time dream of releasing his own album.

Ken's musical roots are deeply embedded in country music. His style of music gives the listener the the true feeling of South Texas.

Ken was born in Ballinger, Texas, on April 2, 1947. He started doodling with a guitar and singing his favorite country songs at the age of 13. Ken's musical background varied while growing up. He experimented in his teens with a little rock and roll, but always came back to his roots, his true love, country music.

Ken recorded songs in Nashville, had some airplay, but never was satisfied with the outcome, or success. However, the dream was still there. Ken soon discovered he not only could sing these songs, he could write them as well. Writing songs became his new passion.

He soon put all of his energy in his new found love, writing songs. By himself, or co-writing, he started pumping out original songs. Soon, other artists and groups were recording his original music.

Feeling good about his new direction, Ken concentrated on doing a recording of original music. Thus, we have Ken's new CD, Texas Two-Steppin'.
